Peach Crumble

August 10, 2016 Gran

Adapted from Stephanie at Allrecipes where it goes by the name of “Mom’s Peach Crisp.” Juicy summertime peaches are the best thing about South Carolina! We enjoyed Peach Crumble for dessert in 2016 soon after Caroline and Dan moved into their new house. Rob was also present for the first serving of the dish, and brought Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream to complement the dessert. Caroline renamed the dish Peach Crumble.

4 cups sliced fresh peaches
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Arrange peaches evenly in an 8×8-inch baking dish.

Mix flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt, and oats in a food processor (or using a pastry cutter) until evenly crumbled. Sprinkle and press topping into peaches.

Bake in the preheated oven until topping is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
